I made a decision a long time ago that I was going to be all weirdly coy about appearing in my True Form on social media. In other words, I hate having my picture...
Rather than actually writing the unfinished chapters in the second book in my series, I am in fact poring over words and revising and editing what’s already there. I’ve been alerted to the fact (thank...
As I’ve said, I live across the street from The National Zoo, and since yesterday the weather went from ‘frozen god-forsaken hell-scape’ to ‘April’, we decided it would be nice to get out of...
I was all ready to go. I had a plan starting to form, the plan where I was going to self publish. Other people have done it to great success, after all. My plan...
Me: So, characters in my book, I’m giving you a few days off. It’s the holidays and I’d like to relax and not worry about what you’re all up to. Representative from my book:...
Update! A couple of things. First, I have to thank my editor Debra Ginsberg, who gave me some rock solid advice and made this a better book. Also, I apologize to Debra for the...

A year ago, I was pretty busy. But not in what you might want to call a good way. My dad had just passed, and my brother and our spouses got to navigate the...
(See what I did there?) I ran into Libba on Twitter today and thought it might be fun to revisit the weird and delightful chat we had two years ago at the Miami Book...
” A delightful urban fantasy with heart and humor! …Kim Alexander was also the narrator, and she did a perfect job! I am very impressed. She is as excellent at narrating her own book as Neil Gaiman and Bryan Cranston. Kim Alexander brings the story to life with vigor, humor, and great pacing.”

“A unicorn walks into a bar….”
That is not a joke.
Look, I’m a bartender. I have nothing to do with the xenos. I don’t care if it’s an elf or a vampire – as long as they don’t bother me, I steer clear. I have my reasons – you can see them in the scars on my neck.
I never wanted to get involved. But my life changed for the second time when I saved the life of a unicorn. I made an enemy of something old – old and evil, and whatever it was, it’ll be back for another try. I also made a friend when I decided to help March. He’s only been a human man for a day. I’m responsible for him now. He’s my friend…and maybe something more. Maybe a lot more.
It doesn’t matter to me that he isn’t magical anymore. I don’t care if he’s not Pure.
But he does.
From best-selling author Kim Alexander comes a modern fairy tale of magic, love, and redemption.
